Privacy policy

This policy describes how Federal First Lending LLC, operating as Federal First Lending California (“we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use www.federalfirstlendingca.com (the “Site”) or contact us by phone, text, email, or chat.
Information we collect
- Contact information you provide — name, email address, and phone number, when you submit a form or start a chat.
- Property and loan information you provide — property address, city, property type, occupancy, your own estimates of value and mortgage balance, the amount you're interested in accessing, your goals and timeline, and a self-reported credit range. Checking your estimate does not involve a credit pull.
- Communications — records of calls, text messages, emails, and chat conversations with us, including conversations with our automated assistant (which are reviewed by licensed loan officers).
- Usage information collected automatically — IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, and how you arrived at the Site (for example, which ad or search result you clicked), collected through cookies and similar technologies, including advertising pixels such as the Meta pixel.
How we use it
- To prepare your equity estimate and respond to your inquiry.
- To connect you with a licensed loan officer and, if you choose to proceed, to evaluate loan options for you with the wholesale lenders we work with.
- To communicate with you by phone, text, email, or chat consistent with the consent you gave when you submitted your information. Consent is not a condition of purchase, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to end texts at any time.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to measure advertising.
- To comply with licensing, record-keeping, and other legal obligations that apply to a licensed mortgage brokerage.
How we share it
We do not sell your contact information to lead marketplaces or data brokers. We share information only:
- With wholesale lenders and settlement service providers, when you choose to move forward and your scenario is submitted for consideration.
- With service providers that run parts of our operations under contract — website hosting, data storage, telephone and text messaging, customer-relationship tools, and analytics/advertising measurement. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- With our corporate family — Federal First Lending LLC branches and personnel involved in serving you.
- When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger.
Advertising cookies and pixels may transmit usage information to advertising platforms so we can measure campaigns and reach people who visited the Site. You can limit this through your browser's cookie controls and the platforms' ad-preference settings, or by sending us an opt-out request using the contact details below.
Financial privacy (GLBA)
If you begin a loan transaction with us, federal law (the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) governs how your nonpublic personal financial information is handled, and you will receive our consumer privacy notice as part of that process. Information covered by that law is exempt from certain state privacy-law provisions.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet the record-keeping periods that apply to licensed mortgage brokerages, then delete or de-identify it. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
